Security and data protection

What IT and data-protection reviewers usually ask, on one page. The legal detail is in the data processing agreement.

Where your data is

  • Meeting content is stored in the EU, on Amazon Web Services in Ireland, and processed in the EU/EEA.
  • Jurnie ApS is a Danish company. For your meetings, we act as your data processor under the GDPR.

Who else processes it

  • Hosting and storage: EU (Ireland).
  • Transcription: EU/EEA.
  • AI analysis: EU/EEA.
  • Meeting bot (optional): EU.
  • Phone calls (optional): EU.
  • Email connection (optional): EU.
  • Error reports (pseudonymised): EU.
  • The named list of sub-processors is in the data processing agreement.

Not used to train AI

  • Your meetings are never used to train AI models, by Jurnie or by the AI providers we use. We've opted out of training with each of them.

Who can see what

  • A new meeting is private to the person who captured it, until they share it with a colleague, a teamspace or the whole organization.
  • Ask Jurnie, and AI tools you connect such as Claude or ChatGPT, reach only the meetings the person asking can open.
  • Email (optional): only the person who connects their mailbox sees what Jurnie reads from it. Colleagues never do, and disconnecting stops it.
  • Inside Jurnie, access to meeting content is limited to a few named engineers, and every access is logged.
  • Multi-factor authentication on all admin and employee accounts.

Encryption and backups

  • Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or later) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Daily encrypted backups.

Keeping and deleting

  • Deleting a meeting removes it permanently, for everyone it was shared with.
  • When your organization stops using Jurnie, its data is deleted as the data processing agreement sets out. An admin can ask for it sooner at support@jurnie.ai.
